The Artists' Fellowship
The Artists' Fellowship, Inc. is a 501 (c) 3 charitable foundation that financially assists professional visual artists and their families in times of emergency, disability or bereavement. Department for Cultural Affairs
This program provides emergency relief grants to City of Los Angeles-based dance, music, and theatre artists, as well as small ensembles who have had their public performances, shows, or concerts cancelled. Solo artists are eligible for up to $400 and ensembles up to $1,200 to cover losses in time and/or materials.

The Music Fund of Los Angeles Executive Board has established an Emergency Relief Fund for AFM Local 47 members who have lost revenue due to work stoppages resulting from the coronavirus COVID-19 emergency.

Performing Arts Worker Relief Fund is a resource for performing arts workers who are facing a loss of income due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. Theatre Bay Area has launched this fund with the generous donations from individual donors, many of them fellow artists.

AGMA Relief Fund
The American Guild of Musical Artists (AGMA) Relief Fund provides support and temporary financial assistance to members who are in need. AGMA contracts with The Actors Fund to administer this program nationally as well as to provide comprehensive social services.

The Haven Foundation

This emergency fund can provide up to $200 for people of color that are either working artist or art administration and are affected by COVID-19.

FORMAT Photographer Fund
Format is a portfolio service for photographers, this fund aims to assist self-employed photographers with up to $500 per person.

The Freelancer’s Union
The Freelancer’s Union promotes the interests of independent workers through advocacy, education, and services. Their relief fund will provide grants to freelancers experiencing economic hardship or a health crisis due to COVID-19. They begin accepting applications on April 2, 2020, for financial assistance up to $1,000 per household to cover income loss.

20 Summers
Once the largest art colony in America, today, Twenty Summers is an arts organization dedicated to engaging with and fostering emerging artists and cultural figures. They have recently launched the Emergency Arts Fund for artists and arts organizations facing financial loss due to the Coronavirus. Artists send them videos which Twenty Summers then promotes to solicit donations for their fund. You can nominate an artist, including yourself, for up to $500.

Behind the Scenes
Behind the Scenes is a charity that provides financial support to entertainment technology industry professionals who are seriously ill or injured. They are currently accepting applications from anyone directly involved in supplying entertainment technology products and services, including design firms, who has been hospitalized with COVID-19.

Though they are closed for new applications until they can secure additional funding, it is worthwhile to keep an eye on this page if you are a freelancer affected by COVID-19. As part of the application, those who receive funds agree to “pay it forward” once they are doing better. It is a wonderful way to keep the community thriving.
